London: Brick Lane Street Style

Thursday, October 20, 2011

Huge apologies for the serious lack of posts this past month lovely readers.  Life has been rather hectic with moving to London and starting study at the London College of Fashion all taking place.  Everything is now under control and I've adjusted to my busy new life in this amazing city, with many more blog posts to come I promise.

As you probably know by now, fashion photography is one of my great loves and I got to experiment with being a photographer myself this past weekend, as my class was given a street style assignment to shoot which would be appropriate for the shopping pages of Time Out magazine.  So my classmate Wendy and I took to the streets around Brick Lane to see what we could find and these are our results, all shot by me.

Brick Lane is a vibrant, busy bit of London's inner east, that really comes to life when the markets are on over the weekend.  It's a hub for all things vintage and unique, with most people we photographed claiming most of their outfits as cool vintage finds.  Chasing stylish people down the street to take their photo was certainly a different way to spend a Sunday, but we had a lot of fun and shot many more photos than are in this post.  These are some of my favourites:
