An Adorable Education In Ruby

Wednesday, March 13, 2013

Gorgeous local label Ruby released these sweet images today of their new sixties-inspired capsule collection 'An Education' which is released in Ruby stores and online this Friday.  I'm absolutely amazed that the super busy Ruby team, lead by designer Deanna Didovich, have enough time to create another capsule collection with their super busy schedule, but it's totally winsome and a perfect excuse to add some transeasonal pieces to your wardrobe.

The new collection features sweet little dresses, cute shorts, chic pants and lovely tops in a range that is really versatile and easy to wear (I'm adoring the polkadots).  Boston photographer Evan Tetreault shot these pretty images and the lookbook for the collection, as Deanna explains 'Evan has captured the mood of this collection perfectly. Shot in an unkempt but beautiful space, our Ruby giel is considered, calm and in a dream-like state.'

I don't exactly need another excuse to visit Ruby as I'm already hopelessly addicted, but I will definitely be checking out 'An Education' on Friday.  For those of you in Auckland, Deanna will be celebrating the release of the new collection in the Ruby Newmarket store on Friday from 12-2pm and the first 200 purchases of the range from Ruby stores nationwide will get a limited-edition goodie bag worth over $70.  The only hard part is deciding which pieces to choose!

  1. Aww - I love Ruby! Their boutique in Casabella Lane in Hamilton is divine - all those nail polish coulors. Great post.

    1. Thank you, I'm such a Ruby fan too. I know, they have so many pretty colours, I love the lilac and mint green.
