Spend The Summer With Liam

Sunday, October 27, 2013

The warmer weather is finally arriving in the southern hemisphere and Liam's perfectly timed summer collection has also just arrived in stores.  Presenting a relaxed range with a feel of casual elegance, designer Emily Miller-Sharma drew inspiration from the 'vivid descriptions of the Indian Territory in the Sundarbans Jungle in Salman Rushdie's novel Midnight's Children' which is certainly a fascinating starting place for a collection.

Titled 'In Conversation' which references 'the custom of conversational prints for where one had visited of would like to be', Miller-Sharma has created subtle prints with clever Indian-inspired details in beautiful shades for summer. As is Liam's signature the garments are modern, fresh and have a quiet confidence that is feminine and chic.

From this range my favourite pieces are the versatile Moon dress (above), I do love a good spotted dress and the pretty Mystique dress (below in black and coral) that is 100% silk.  These pieces would be perfectly light to wear when the mercury climbs and easily warmed up with a cardi on cooler evenings.

I'm definitely going to pop into my local Ruby store to shop this chic collection in person but you can also shop it online here.
