Aim's Chic Debut

Tuesday, November 18, 2014

One of the brand new labels to make their debut at NZFW was Aim, a recent addition to Huffer's stable and a welcome newcomer to New Zealand's womenswear market. Their first collection has just dropped in Huffer stockists and online and it's been a pleasure to discover that this sophisticated range, fronted by campaign model Bambi Northwood-Blyth, is just as chic in person as in these images.

Taking things in a simple but elegant direction, this label is all about clean lines, beautiful fabrics and relaxed silhouettes, it certainly has a modern yet timeless look about it, don't you think? I love the sweet gold and ivory print which perfectly complements the otherwise neutral colour palette.  These pieces are really wearable and versatile, although the details like the criss-cross back below add a high fashion feel.

There is nothing better than a collection of pieces that's really easy to mix and match in fabrics that are comfortable and look fresh.  Silk, crepe de chine and linen form the basis of this range and are great choices for the transition into the warmer months. Something tells me Aim will quickly find a place in the wardrobes of New Zealand women and it will be very interesting to see what they do next season.
