Paolo Sebastian's Illusion gown from his SS15/16 collection 'The Nightingale'

Paolo Sebastian certainly knows how to sweep his followers up in a couture fairytale, his latest collection for SS15/16 titled 'The Nightingale' is absolutely enchanting. Interestingly, the nightingale has long been a symbol for poets and poetry as it's melodic nocturnal song is regarded as highly creative. Unsurprisingly then it works perfectly as a cultural muse, in this case with a delightful whimsical effect. But back to the divine dresses, which are meticulously made works of art.

I've long been a fan of Paolo Sebastian's exquisite creations, for as much as the word can be thrown around all too easily, exquisite really is the best word for these incredibly detailed and utterly winsome outfits. What's not to love about beautiful embroidery, intricate embellishments on filmy tulle in feminine silhouettes? These gowns are what fairytale fashion dreams are made of and it's interesting to see the mix of elegant old Hollywood glamour with the more modern 'naked' dress style which I'm personally not a big fan of, but is certainly proving to be a red carpet favourite of late. I'm adoring the amazing 'winged' effect on some of these gowns too, not to mention the delicately pretty lace and trimmings. How wonderful would it be to have one of these sublime outfits in your wardrobe to flit around in?

Paolo Sebastian's garments are generally made to order and the details are on his website.
